Paul Arndt Paul Arndt was appointed Executive General Manager on 24 January 2008 and subsequently Managing Director on 25 November 2008. He has more than 13 years experience in senior roles within the resource sector. Paul was initially appointed to oversee performance improvements at the Broken Hill Operation in response to a significant global downturn in the base metals sector. The Board subsequently appointed Paul as Managing Director & CEO, which was ratified by shareholders at the 2008 AGM. During Paul's time with Perilya he has been instrumental in delivering almost a doubling in productivity as well as significant reductions in direct operating costs at the Broken Hill Operation. During his career Paul has held a number of senior general management roles including Newcrest at their Telfer operation in WA, Pasminco's Cockle Creek smelter in Boolaroo (NSW), and MIM's Britannia zinc and lead operation in Avonmouth (UK). | Paul Marinko Paul was appointed as Perilya's General Counsel in April of 2007 and Company Secretary on 25 November 2008. Paul is a barrister and solicitor and was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Federal and High Courts of Australia in 1993. Paul has over 17 years of legal, corporate and commercial experience having previously served as company secretary for an Australian publicly listed entity. Paul has also practised and held partnerships in Australian commercial law firms and prior to joining Perilya held executive Board roles on a number of Australian and US private companies. In addition to his role as and Company Secretary & Group General Counsel, Paul also serves as a director of Perilya's operating subsidiaries. |
Peter Trout Peter Trout commenced employment with Perilya in February 2010 with responsibility for the Mount Oxide Project Feasibility Study. His role was expanded in August 2010 to include responsibility for new project and acquisitions. Peter was appointed as Executive General Manager - Americas in January 2011 to oversee Perilya's activities in the Dominican Republic and Canada. Peter is based in the Dominican Republic. Peter is a mining engineer with more than 15 years of operational, project development and management experience. He has held senior roles at large scale underground and open pit metalliferous mining operations in Australia and PNG including Newcrest Mining Limited's Telfer and Ridgeway operations and MIM Limited's Mount Isa Mine. Prior to joining Perilya, Peter was Newcrest's representative for the Morobe Mining Joint Venture in PNG with Harmony Gold Mining Company. | Angelo Christou BCom Chief Financial Officer Angelo Christou was appointed Chief Financial Officer on 19 August 2010. Angelo has more than 32 years of extensive accounting, finance and management experience in diverse industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Retail/Wholesale, Oil and Gas, Mining and Engineering. Angelo's has primary responsibility for Perilya's financial management and his strong commercial and operational background further enhances the M&A skills within the executive group.
