Pinnacles

New South Wales, 100 per cent ownership, zinc, lead, silver

The Pinnacles deposits have potential for development as open pit mines that can be rapidly integrated into the Broken Hill operations.

The Pinnacles region, which is approximately 10 kilometres southwest of the Broken Hill mill, holds potential for large Broken Hill systems. There has been minimal deep drilling to date below 100 metres depth on mineralised lode rocks within one of the strongest alteration systems away from the main Broken Hill deposit.

geology and testing

The Pinnacles region has a large area of highly anomalous geochemistry in lode rocks over five kilometres of strike. Drilling has defined a number of highly prospective targets, with the first drilled Henry George providing a number of strong intercepts including eight metres at 13.8 per cent lead and zinc combined. The lode rock currently has continuity over 400 metres strike and 300 metres down dip. The intercepts are narrow, but still open, and further drilling is planned.

looking forward

A number of prospects in the region are being followed up with deeper drilling. Drill programs are planned at the Sam Deeds, 1130 and Monarch Flat prospects.
