North Mine

The North Mine Development Consent (SSD7538) conditions permit one (1) production blast per day and six (6) per week (averaged over a calendar year).

 

This condition does not apply to blasts that generate ground vibration of 0.75mm/s or less at any residence on privately-owned land, blast misfires or blasts required to ensure the safety of the mine or its workers.

 

Measures to manage standard blasting operations include scheduling production blasting around shift-change times* between 6:45 am to 7:15 am and 6:45 pm to 7:15 pm on any day.
